Anderton Boat Lift
For many years, this incredible feat of engineering stood derelict. Now it is restored to its original function of transporting canal boats a vertical distance of approx. 60ft. between the Weaver Navigation and the Trent and Mersey Canal. More
Nether Alderley Mill
It's truly amazing how few of us who have lived in the area for years have visited the handsome 15th century corn mill, close to Welsh Row on the A34. I'm told it's well worth a look inside. More
Capesthorne Hall
Eight generations of the Bromley-Davenport family have lived in this imposing building. Originally constructed in the early 18th century, much of the central part was rebuilt following a fire in 1861. The Hall hosts many events throughout the year. More
